There are so many reasons why we chose pedisoaks as our core products of our brand. Before we dive to much into this detail, let's take a moment to define what a PEDISOAK is?
Pedisoak (n.): Pedi- is short for the Latin word pedibus (feet). Soak in Latin is madefacio, which is why we simply selected 'soaks'.
To be blatantly honest, when I was thinking of a name for the business I knew I wanted to use my daughters name. I know that salts were going to be a core ingredients and that soaking was important. So, so far...we have London, Salt and Soaks. The first business name was London's Salty Soaks but this just didn't have joie de vivre. Thinking about my daughter, I knew the name needed some finesse and needed to sound amazing with my horrible rendition of a British accent. Well, salty soaks was not cutting it. Back to the drawing board...
Another factor of the name is that I am a huge fan of the Harry Potter series. We watch it quite often in our household. All the great wordplay like Butterbeer, Fizzing Whizbees and Ton Tongue Toffee, Crookshanks, Shrieking Shacks and Scabbers. They have a nice ring with a hint of tongue tying to each word. With this in mind, I started playing around with different combinations. Pedi....Pedibuddies, Pedisoaks.... London's Pedisoaks.
Our pedisoaks are our heartbeat and consist of our foot milk, foot salts and foot soaks. Each one is a little bit different than the other, but they all make your feet happy.
FOOT SOAKS: Moisturizes and thoroughly exfoliates your feet.
FOOT SALTS: Addresses feet frustrations such as aches, pains and inflammation.
FOOT MILK: Cleanses, clarifies, exfoliates with a hint of moisturization.
Our foot milk & foot soaks really do something special. They consist of three skin softners: arrowroot, kaolin and sodium bicarbonate. Plus, we combine multiple moisturizers such as coconut oil, sweet almond oil and vegetable glycerin. All of the ingredients blend perfectly together leaving your feet feeling like silk.
We have a couple new soaks up our sleeve for Fall 2017. Keep a look out for a Detox soak and perhaps a Surprise Scent of the Season.
